Our New Snow Plowing Hotline will be active November 15 2011 through April 1 2012. We will make regular updates on our progress throughout each storm, and inform you of our intentions regarding return visits.
Dec 28, 2:30AM: This is the first snowfall of the year with any significant accumulation. We have received 3cm in North York and 5cm north of Steeles. We are plowing and shoveling all properties even if they are less than the contracted 5cm mark. The temperature is expected to plummet around 5AM and we expect any unplowed or unshoveled areas to become extremely icy and treacherous. We hope to complete all service by 6AM.
Dec 28-4:00AM: The temperature has dropped quickly over the past 90 minutes and much of the wet snow is freezing up. Walkways are not shoveling off as cleanly as we would like due to an icy bottem layer. We strongly suggest you salt both your walks and driveways.
Dec 30-3:20AM: We have received 3cm of snow in both North York and Thornhill and the snow has stopped at this time. As this is below the 5cm threshold we will not be plowing at this time. We will continue to monitor the weather and revise our plans if the snow picks up again.

Jan 12-1:30PM:We have picked up an inch of wet snow over the morning. We are planning on plowing all routes overnight.
Jan 13-5:30PM:Yesterday's snow melted away as a result of the rain and mild temps. We did pick up another 3cm south of Steeles this morning. This is normally not an amount that we would provide service for but due to the unusual lack of snow to date we have plowed all driveways.
Jan 19-4:30PM:We have picked up 3cm of snow this afternoon which is less than our contracted amount. Due to the lack of snow this winter however we will be servicing all our residential customers later today.
Jan 21- 6:00 AM: Between yesterday afternoon and early this morning we have picked up roughly 5cm of light snow. We are beginning the plowing of all of our residential routes and annticipate a finish time around noon.
Jan 27 - 11:30 AM: What was supposed to come as rain has come instead in the form of snow in North York & Thornhill. We are currently assessing snow accumulations and will be making a decision by early this afternoon regarding potential plowing of residential sites.
Jan 27 - 3:50 PM: In total we received between 2-3cm of snow today. This is less than the contracted amount but we have been around our residential routes nontheless to do a quick pass where required.
Jan 31 - 2:15 AM: The snow that started late yesterday afternoon appears to have finally stopped. We estimate approximately 3" on the ground at this time and are beginning all of our residential routes now. We are projecting a finish time of about 8AM if all goes well this morning.
